Clear Aligners
Clear aligners are an excellent alternative to metal and ceramic braces for adults and teenagers who want straighter teeth but do not want to deal with metal braces. A thin, clear plastic aligner is made of a special, thin material that fits comfortably over your teeth.

Veneers
A veneer is a thin shell of porcelain bonded to the front of your teeth. These are usually used to make your teeth look better. The use of veneers can close gaps between teeth and conceal discolourations.

FAQs About Our Dental Services in Camberwell
What Payment Options Do You Accept?
Various payment options are available, including Eftpos, Credit Card, and Cash. All major health funds are included in our network.
Our HICAPS facility provides convenient on-the-spot claims processing for private health funds and Medicare.
How much does a dental check-up cost in Camberwell?
Depending on the circumstances, a dental check-up may cost more or less. Check-ups can cost $200 to $400 if your dentist finds any serious problems that need to be addressed during the appointment. If you need several X-rays to help determine the proper course of treatment, the costs can be higher.
Does Medicare cover dental check-ups?
In some scenarios, Medicare offers rebates to both children and adults for dental care.
Children can be covered by the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). To be eligible for Medicare or Family Tax Benefit A, a child must be between the ages of two and 17 years old.
Children are entitled to a maximum benefit of $1,000 per child every two years and are covered for procedures such as dental exams, X-rays, cleanings, fissure sealing, fillings, and extractions. However, orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry are not covered.
The program also covers adults who have a Commonwealth Health Care Card, a Commonwealth Pensioner Concession Card, or a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card. State and territory-specific eligibility and treatment options may apply.
At what age should a child visit a dentist?
Even though it’s never too early to establish a relationship with your child’s dentist, these guidelines can help you decide when you should schedule an appointment. As recommended by the Australian & New Zealand Society Of Pediatric Dentistry, children should see their dentists at least once a year from the age of 1 to 2 years old, twice a year from age 2 to 6 years old, and once every six months from age 6 to 12 years old.
Why is it important for children to visit the dentist?
For an adult, going to the dentist can be uncomfortable, but for a child, it can be downright frightening. However, the importance of visiting the dentist for children is the same as for adults.
Children should visit the dentist early for a variety of reasons:
- Unhealthy diets and a lack of dental care are often to blame for poor oral health. If you don’t visit the dentist regularly, it is difficult to change your poor oral health habits.
- Diabetes, respiratory illnesses, and heart disease can all be attributed to poor oral health.
- The practice should be comfortable for your child, so you and they can both benefit.
In case of a dental emergency at night, what do I need to do?
How to find the right dentist for my family?
The choice of your next family dentist is an important one. Choosing a family dentist can be a challenging process, as your family dentist will be your long-term partner in the care of your oral health. As a starting point, ask yourself the following questions:
- During what hours are the offices open? Do they fit into your schedule?
- Do you have easy access to the clinic from work or home?
- Where did the dentist receive his/her education and training?
- How does your dentist approach preventive dentistry?
- What is the frequency of the dentist’s attendance at conferences and continuing education courses?
- Is the office clean, neat, and orderly? Are all treatment room surfaces and equipment clean?
- Is the dental staff friendly and willing to answer your questions?
- When a patient is being treated, do you observe the dentist and his staff wearing gloves and other protective gear?
When should I see a dentist about a toothache?
When you experience any of the following symptoms, it is important that you schedule an appointment with your dentist immediately.
- When a toothache lasts longer than one or two days
- You have difficulty going about your daily activities due to your severe toothache
- Widening your mouth leads to earache, fever, or pain
By recognizing and treating dental infections appropriately, you can prevent dental infections from spreading to other parts of the face, skull, and bloodstream.
